This is our first stay and we were very impressed with our experience. On arrival, the grounds were well kept and the long-stay residents kept their space tidy. Our site we booked was unavailable due to needing an update to the electrical and the owner found us an alternative spot that was perfect for what we had been hoping for. Our space was quiet and clean. Hookups were easy to access. We loved the atmosphere and the huge new fenced dog park. We heard that the park had recently been purchased and that the new owners were doing many updates. It really shows, great job! We can’t wait to come back!

Location of the campground is great. There is a market / gas station right near the entrance for quick wood/ ice needs or ice cream cravings. It is really close to some of the best old growth redwoods and Smith river. You are able to walk across the street and then about .8 of mile right down to the river to cross the bridge (which is seasonal and only put up once water levels / flow is low enough) for more hiking and specifically the Stout Grove Trailhead. The campsite we were originally put in would definitely not fit our RV and slide outs, but they were very accommodating and gave us an upgrade to another campsite which looked right into the forest, with a nice grassy area. Our dogs loved it! The grounds overall were very nicely kept and the laundry mat was the cheapest of all the campgrounds we had visited!

Redwood Meadows is under new ownership as of Summer 2024. Shawn and Josh are excellent hosts with outstanding customer service. We stayed in the Yurt, which proved to be a fantastic experience.  We were under the trees, woke up to the birds and even had a heater and running water inside. The fire pit outside was a great hit for s’mores with kids. You do not expect campground showers to wow you, but these did. Mr. Clean would be proud of the cleanliness in the restrooms and showers alike. They even have laundry on site. The Resort is a convenient location to get to mind blowing hikes and local attractions. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!
